Mengfei Zhao

I am a PhD student in Fudan university, Shanghai. And my advisor is Xiaolei Wu. My research interests lie in geometric group theory and its connections to topological dynamical systems and operator algebras. Within group theory, I focus primarily on the following four families of properties and the relationships among them:

• Homological properties: finiteness properties and group cohomology;

• Dynamical properties: group actions on the Cantor set and left-orderable groups;

• Geometric properties: CAT(0) cube groups and hyperbolic groups；

• Analytic properties: amenability and bounded cohomology;
